Week 10 - Top 25 - Mandatory reading before the CFB Playoff Committee announces their mistake-riddled inital rankings tonight on ESPN!!!

The 2015 College Football Playoff Selection Committee releases their first rankings on ESPN tonight.  Here's the right answer, gang.  :)

Clemson is the best in team in the county right now per the data that matters.  Unbeaten, Top 30 schedule, Top 30 offensive efficiency, Top 10 defensive efficiency.  What's not to like?

The implications of the LSU-Alabama game on Saturday are obvious and deep.  These two SEC West big boys clock in at #2 and #3 this week for me.

And, in a likely surprise to some, Notre Dame breaks through as the My Numbers #4 rated team this week.  A couple pertinent facts for the doubters: there are only 4 teams in the country that have played a Top 20 schedule this year and have only 1 loss (Alabama, Notre Dame, Florida, and Utah) and there are no undefeated teams that have played a Top 20 schedule.  None.  And while I don't think the Irish have (or have shown anyway), a national title-worthy defense yet this year, they feature what is looking to me like the best Notre Dame offense in a decade and, right now anyway, are playoff-worthy.  And not based on opinion.  Based on the data.

CFB Playoff committee members have been known to chirp about how important schedule strength is in their deliberations.  Well, we'll see just how important tonight, won't we?
